High heels are sore feet typically go together and for red carpet celebrities expected to walk and talk with a smile, this can be a tricky circumstance to overcome.

Stylists have taken notice of this painful occurrence and are implementing an unexpected form of pain relief; CBD.

This year Amy Sedaris, actress and notable voice of many characters including a part in The Lion King, turned to the CBD brand Lord Jones to prevent achy feet on an important night.1She is among many other accesses using this exact brand including Michelle Williams, Mandy Moore, Sophie Turner, and Kristen Bell.

These women have their stylists to thank along with the Lord Jones Body Lotion brand. The company teamed up with celebrity shoe designer Tamara Mellon to develop a cream specifically for these occasions; Stiletto Cream($70). If one were to judge the success of the cream by social media responses it would seem the cream has been a success!

Bell and Williams both boasted of the cream’s benefits on their Instagram pages. But Amy Sedaris is quite possibly their biggest celebrity fan by tagging the brand on multiple social media posts.

Stiletto Cream and other CBD pain-relieving creams aren’t for celebrities only. The 9-5 working woman, or man, can access and reap the benefits of these creams and the red carpet approved trials they have faced.

Speaking to Page Six, Dr. Suzanne Levine, a board-certified podiatric surgeon, explains how topical CBD is an efficient and effective method for relieving pain, “When applied topically is an excellent way to decrease focal pain.”

CBD works in the body by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), that’s right your body has a system specifically for CBD and other cannabis compounds. These receptors cooperate with just about every body-system imaginable to bring about a host of health benefits.

The ECS is made of two known receptors; CB1 and CB2. Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) modulates pain by interacting with the brain and nervous system. These receptors are near the surface of the skin making CBD creams an ideal method for pain relief.

CBD is also a natural anti-inflammatory compound which gives it added pain-relieving benefits. With results like this hitting mainstream media, there is no doubt that the CBD pain cream market will see a boost. The benefits have to be experienced first-hand.

We at LeafReport haven’t reviewed Lord Jones ourselves, but well-known CBD sources of this caliber Reputable seem to be the go-to choice. With a boom in a fairly unregulated market, there are bound to be fewer quality manufacturers seeking to simply turn a profit.
